Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel Silva wins boxing debut

Gabriel Silva, the son of UFC legend Anderson Silva, had a remarkable debut in boxing. He won his first professional boxing match in a dominant fashion via unanimous decision.

Anderson Silva, a former UFC middleweight champion, is renowned for his exceptional striking skills. He held the title for an impressive 2,457 days and defended it 10 times. He is considered one of the best strikers in the UFC, with outstanding skills in boxing, muay thai, and taekwondo. It appears that his son, Gabriel Silva, has inherited his father’s talent.

Gabriel Silva made his boxing debut at Hollywood FN and won the four-round 160-pound match against Angelo Thompson. His opponent had a record of 0-7, which was suitable for Gabriel’s debut. He defeated his opponent convincingly, and the judges scored 39-36, 38-37, and 39-36 in his favor. Anderson Silva was one of his coaches and was present in the corner during the match.

“I am thrilled. Gabriel has a good team and a good coach. I am overjoyed because Gabriel is doing his best for L.A. This is for everyone who comes to watch us,” the 48-year-old Silva said in an interview.

Gabriel Silva previously competed in kickboxing, where he suffered a knockout defeat in September 2021. However, he decided to switch to boxing, and it seems to have paid off for him. This victory during Anderson Silva’s birthday is a promising start for Gabriel as he continues his journey in the boxing ring.
