Amy Schumer calls out the Oscars for silencing her Joe Rogan joke

Actress and comedian Amy Schumer recently expressed her frustration towards the producers of the Oscars ceremony. Schumer hosted this year along with Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. Schumer aired her grievances online.

She called out the Academy for hypocrisy considering she was forbidden from making certain jokes but Smith was allowed to accept the Oscar award for best actor despite of having slapped comedian Chris Rock during the live broadcast.

The actress revealed that she was strictly prohibited to joke about podcaster Joe Rogan, veteran actor Alec Baldwin and former Oscars host/actor/alleged perv James Franco.

The actress reportedly had jokes about all three personalities but to Amy’s frustrations the jokes were cut off from the telecast.

While Rogan is under fire for his Covid skepticism and platforming fringe medical experts, Baldwin had accidentally shot and killed a cinematographer during his latest movie shoot this of course on top of having married a Spanish woman who is admittedly not from Spain even a little bit in spite of referring to the couple’s many children as ‘Baldwinitos’ and forgetting the English word ‘cucumber’ in the past.

“I was kind of feeling myself…and then all of a sudden, Ali was making his way up,” Schumer said. “And it was just a f—ing bummer. All I can say is that it was really sad, and I think it says so much about toxic masculinity. It was really upsetting, but I think the best way to comfort ourselves would be for me to say the Oscar jokes that I wasn’t allowed to say on TV.”

Former host, James Franco is infamous for his checked out performance as an Oscars host in addition to some shady behavior tied to his acting school.

While speaking with Vanity Fair Amy said: “I wasn’t allowed to say any of that [at the Oscars], but you can just come up and [slap] someone.”

Due to the controversies, Rogan was sidelined during UFC 271 in February which left the famously anti woke UFC fans upset and confused. But to the fans’ delight, Rogan returned to the broadcast table at UFC 272.

As many of you know, Rogan only commentates UFC’s domestic PPV events. Considering UFC 273 is set in Jacksonville Florida, Rogan will return to the commentary table alongside Paul Felder and Jon Anik.

UFC 273 happens this weekend at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

The event is headlined by Alexander Volkanowski and The Korean Zombie for the UFC featherweight title and in the co-main, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling will battle for the UFC bantamweight title.
