Alleged abuser finds home at Titan FC? Luis Pena shares how he felt after UFC released him following arrest

UFC is far from woke despite the corporate ownership – for the most part. In the case of ‘Violent Bob Ross’ UFC opted to cut their losses.

After Luis Pena was arrested for the second time in 2021 – the promotion opted to cut their losses and released a statement saying:

“UFC is aware of the disturbing allegations concerning the recent arrest of Luis Pena. Mr. Pena has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse issues and the organization has on multiple prior occasions attempted to help him get professional treatment.”

As for Pena, he had no choice but to roll with the punches.

“I mean, I wasn’t necessarily fine with it,” Peña said while speaking to MMA Sucka. “But at the same time, I didn’t really expect them to go digging. I don’t really know how I expected everything to be handled.”

“Because I didn’t expect everything to happen, I maintained my innocence throughout everything so I didn’t really see any of this coming. I didn’t know how to expect — the reaction and everything, which has been colorful, to say the least. I didn’t really know how to deal with everything, I was kind of learning and adjusting on the fly.”

Oddly, Pena is not the only problematic case at Titan FC. Earlier this year Titan FC distanced themselves from Michael Graves – a former champion that threatened a reporter who was commenting on Jon Jones’ domestic violence arrest.

“I saw it, don’t get me wrong, I see it every day. I would say there’s not a day I don’t go by where I don’t see something on Instagram or Facebook from somebody trying to call me some terrible name or something like that from everything, I mean, I see it all, I don’t care.” Pena described his hardship after allegedly striking two women.

Pena returns to action May 6th against Zach Zane in Miami, Florida. It’s been over a year since his last bout.

Pena felt so confident in himself he initially scheduled two cage returns back to back – with the other one falling on May 21st. But after this was publicized – his 2nd bout (against Eduard Vartanyan) was cancelled.
