Aleksander Emelianenko converts to Islam, publicly apologizes to Fedor Emelianenko

Fedor Emelianenko celebrated his 47th birthday on September 28. On this special occasion, his brother Aleksander Emelianenko took a unique approach to convey his wishes – through a heartfelt video message.

Aleksander Emelianenko, who is also a seasoned mixed martial artist with a noteworthy career, appeared in the video with a strikingly different appearance. Sporting a long beard and holding an electronic rosary, he conveyed his birthday greetings to his younger brother, Fedor.

However, Aleksander’s message carried a deeper significance. In the video, he took the opportunity to extend a sincere apology to Fedor for any past troubles he may have caused.

“Fedor, my brother, I congratulate you on your birthday. I wish you all the blessings of the world and the grace of God. I want to apologize to you… Apologize for the fact that I upset you with my behavior, my actions, and my wrong way of life,” Aleksander Emelianenko expressed genuinely.

He went on to share that he is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Iman Personal Restoration Center in Ingushetia, focusing on his recovery from detrimental habits and actions. Aleksander emphasized that his newfound sobriety serves as his birthday gift to Fedor.

“Now, I’m in Ingushetia at the Iman Personal Restoration Center. I am undergoing rehabilitation here, recovering from my harmful and hurtful actions and habits. Let my sobriety be your birthday gift. Happy birthday to you,” he added, demonstrating his commitment to turning over a new leaf.

Aleksander Emelianenko’s journey has been marked by ups and downs in the world of mixed martial arts. He achieved recognition in promotions like Pride FC, where he faced formidable opponents such as Mirko Cro Cop and Josh Barnett. However, his career took a different turn when he faced legal troubles.

In 2015, he was convicted, resulting in a 4.5-year prison sentence. He was granted parole in 2016 but faced further legal issues in 2019 when he was arrested for DUI and other related charges, including resisting arrest and insulting authorities.

Through his birthday message and commitment to rehabilitation, Aleksander Emelianenko aims to make amends and rebuild his life, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, there can be hope for positive change.
