Adrian Yanez reacts to ‘racist cornerman’ Tony Kelley getting cut from the UFC, Kelley responds

UFC Fight Night: Kattar versus Emmett weigh ins were pretty smooth. Most of the card made weight without a snag.

However, bantamweight Tony Kelley was the only fighter in the event who failed to make weight. He came in in 1.5 pounds above the limit. According to the UFC, Kelly would forfeit 20% of his pay. The stakes were high too. Kelley had been in the spotlight for over a month at that point after delivering a racist pep talk to his girlfriend mid fight against a Brazilian opponent.

In fact, Kelley had aggravated the UFC staff so much that Yanez revealed after the fact that UFC staff were telling him they were cheering for him.

“It was a very satisfying victory, especially after learning that members of the promotion’s staff were rooting for me to beat Kelley,” said Yanez.

“I was filled with a lot of emotion and raw energy during that fight, and I’m glad that I was able to win.”

The audience in the arena were also chanting ‘F*** you Tony Kelley’‘.

Yanez reacted to the news fast poking fun at his opponent.

But he felt bad enough and just an hour later wished his former opponent well saying.

“Okay, I’m done. I found it funny. Lol. But on a serious note, hope he gets signed to a promotion, gets paid well, and has income coming in besides fighting. I might not like you, but Tony hope you’re good”

But the amicable attitude didn’t last long because Yanez was confronted with Kelley’s postings once again.

For those curious, Kelley had shared the following with his fans:

“You know you don’t really want this rematch home boy… you & that gaping va**na I left above your eye know it. You got blessed bro, @adrianyanez93… #15?? After who?? Exactly… @ufc didn’t wanna make that fight happen again so I’m looking at some other things at the moment… Don’t count out seeing me again down the road boy”
