WWE reporter claims Linda McMahon faked Degree in Education after Trump appoints her as education secretary

Professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has cast doubt on Linda McMahon’s educational credentials following her appointment as Secretary of Education under the Trump administration.

Meltzer, a long-time wrestling industry insider and publisher of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, took to Twitter questioning McMahon’s qualifications, writing: “Who do you think will be the first mainstream reporter to find out she falsified a degree in education”

The claim comes as McMahon, former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), prepares to take on her new role in the Department of Education. McMahon has previously served as the head of the Small Business Administration during Trump’s presidency.

According to NY Post article from a decade ago, Linda McMahon’s degree was in French.
Linda McMahon allegedly has a bachelor’s degree in French from East Carolina University and holds certification to teach the language.

While Meltzer’s tweet has generated significant discussion online, it’s important to note that these allegations remain unsubstantiated. McMahon’s official biography states she attended East Carolina University, though specific details about her degree have not been independently verified for this report.

The Department of Education has not yet responded to these claims, and McMahon’s representatives have not issued any statement regarding the allegations.

This development adds another layer of scrutiny to McMahon’s appointment, which has already drawn attention due to her background in professional wrestling entertainment rather than traditional education administration.
