Nickal fudges the numbers? Bo Nickal says AI backs him in a hypothetical scenario against a Chimp

UFC middleweight prospect Bo Nickal has stirred up quite a buzz in the MMA community with his recent comments about a hypothetical encounter with a chimpanzee. The undefeated star, known for his exceptional wrestling skills, took to social media to share an AI-generated analysis of how he might fare against one of our primate cousins.

Nickal, who boasts over two decades of combat sports experience, has been making waves in the UFC since his debut. His confidence has been evident in his performances, but his latest claim has left fans both amused and bewildered.

The American Top Team standout shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) detailing ChatGPT’s assessment of the matchup. According to the AI, Nickal would be the favorite in this unusual contest, citing his extensive experience, skill, and strategic prowess as key advantages.

However, the analysis didn’t dismiss the formidable nature of a chimpanzee, noting their superior strength – approximately 1.5 times that of an average male – and natural aggression as significant factors to consider.

The post quickly garnered attention from fans and fellow athletes alike, sparking a lively debate online. Some supporters playfully called for the hypothetical bout to be made a reality, while others expressed concern for Nickal’s safety, urging him to reconsider such a dangerous proposition.

Just to be sure Nickal wasn’t embellishing we ran another test in GPT and got a very different result.

Comedian Bryan Callen previously roasted Nickal for this take. He emphasized the aggressive nature of chimpanzees, describing them as “all demons” with a penchant for violence. Callen vividly illustrated the potential dangers Nickal might face, from lost fingers to attacks on vulnerable areas.

This isn’t the first time the idea of humans facing off against wild animals has captured public imagination. A recent survey revealed that 6% of respondents believed they could defeat a grizzly bear in hand-to-hand combat, while 8% expressed confidence against a gorilla.

For now, Bo Nickal’s focus remains on his promising MMA career. As he continues to climb the ranks in the UFC’s middleweight division, fans can expect to see more of his exceptional skills inside the Octagon – against human opponents, of course.
