PED expert questions if Dave Bautista’s massive transformation is tied to stopping PEDs

The once hulking frame of Dave Bautista has gone through a dramatic transformation, leaving many fans and experts puzzled. Derek, a PED expert from the website Moreplatesmoredates, has closely examined the actor’s physical changes and believes they may be linked to Bautista’s decision to step away from the use of PEDs.

Bautista, known for his muscular roles in films like the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, has always been open about his bodybuilding past and the use of PEDs to achieve his impressive physique. However, his latest appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival has left many questioning whether he has made a conscious choice to prioritize his health and longevity over maintaining his massive size.

In the interview, Bautista revealed that he had previously reached a peak weight of 370 pounds, before gradually downsizing to around 240 pounds in recent years. Derek, the PED expert, notes that this dramatic fluctuation in weight is not uncommon among actors and athletes who have relied heavily on PEDs to build and maintain their physiques.

“This is the epitome of sodium-bombed D-Bolt Deca-Test f***ing out the Wazoo Water Retention City,” Derek observes in his video. “Like this guy is absolutely a walking, hypertensive crisis.”

Bautista’s own admission that he had to bulk up to over 300 pounds for a recent role further emphasizes the challenges of sustaining such extreme physical transformations, especially as one ages. Derek suggests that Bautista may be more mindful of his health and longevity compared to some of his contemporaries, such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who have continued to push the envelope with their muscular physiques well into their 50s.

Bautista continues to train, he’s currently a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

“At what age is going to be the age at which these guys just have to call it quits?” Derek ponders. “Cause I feel like somebody is going to be the shining example here of, okay, you know, this is the age at which s*it starts to go south.”

The expert also draws parallels to the experiences of former Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates, who was able to successfully navigate the transition from being a “mass monster” to a more sustainable, healthy physique. Yates’ willingness to sacrifice his larger-than-life image for the sake of his well-being serves as an inspiring example for actors like Bautista who may be grappling with the challenges of maintaining a Hollywood-ready physique.

As Bautista continues to navigate the industry and explore new roles, it remains to be seen whether he will once again need to bulk up to meet the demands of certain characters. However, the PED expert’s analysis suggests that the actor may be more cautious about the long-term consequences of such physical transformations, choosing to prioritize his health and longevity over the pursuit of ever-increasing muscle mass.
