Comedian Bobby Lee Credits Ozempic With Shedding 30 Lbs

Comedian Bobby Lee recently opened up about his weight loss journey, revealing that he turned to the Ozempic treatment after a particularly hurtful comment from a romantic partner.

In a recent podcast episode, Lee disclosed that the catalyst for his decision came during a trip to Hawaii with someone he was dating.

“While we were making out on the bed, she stops and she goes, ‘I’m not attracted to you. I think you’re fat,'” Lee recounted.

The comment hit hard enough that he went to the balcony and briefly contemplated ending his life. “I never saw her again,” he added.

The experience prompted Lee to take action.

“So then I got on the shot a week later. Ozempic,” he explained. At his heaviest, Lee was carrying approximately 30 pounds of extra weight. He admitted his diet consisted largely of Japanese chicken katsu with rice and two acai bowls daily, not realizing the high sugar content in the latter.

The treatment initially helped Lee shed the weight, but the journey hasn’t been without complications. He eventually stopped taking Ozempic due to severe side effects.

“It made me nauseous,” Lee said, describing an incident during a flight to Toronto where he took a large dose and subsequently became violently ill in his hotel room. “I vomited and had diarrhea all over the hotel. I vomited all night long.”

Despite discontinuing the treatment, Lee says he feels good about his current state. “I feel good now,” he noted, though he acknowledged gaining some weight back since stopping the injections. He believes his dosage may have been too high, contributing to the adverse reactions.
