UFC featherweight Movsar Evloev opened up about his personal life during a training session with streamer Sneako, revealing details about his marriage that have since drawn attention online. The undefeated star discussed his wife, his faith, and why he believes marrying young worked in his favor.
Evloev told Sneako he married his wife when she was 17 and he was 23. The two come from the same small republic in Russia’s North Caucasus region, a community he described as tight knit.
“In my republic, it’s a little bit easier because it’s like a small republic, only half a million people there, everybody knows each other. And my family knows her family. I just met her once and I married her in two weeks,” Evloev said.
When asked how he knew she was the right person to marry after such a brief courtship, Evloev argued that a longer engagement would not have told him more.
“Even if you talk with her like five years, you cannot know her like,” he said.
Another person present expanded on Evloev’s point, arguing that someone could conceal their true personality even over a long period of time.
“You’re not going to exactly know what kind of person she is, you know, because she can fake it all five years,” he said.
The conversation then turned to what Evloev viewed as one of the advantages of marrying a younger woman. After Evloev began explaining his perspective, Sneako suggested that a younger wife could be easier to integrate into her husband’s way of life.
Evloev initially responded, “I don’t know, I was, well, it’s when your wife is younger than you,” before switching to another language.
His friend then translated his comments, explaining, “When you marry an older woman, she already has experience. She has her ways set. So when you marry her younger, it’s much easier to mold her, make her your wife.”
Sneako continued along the same line of reasoning, suggesting that marrying an older woman could mean dealing with someone who already has established opinions and habits. Evloev appeared to agree with the sentiment.
“Let her fit into the mold of your life instead of hearing her talk too much. She’s not programmed yet,” Sneako said.
Evloev is undefeated in the UFC and has built his record largely on his wrestling and grappling. He is scheduled to face Alexander Volkanovski on October 24, 2026.
