Tim Robbins He Didn’t Have A Single Bite Of Food In 14 Days And Lost 25lbs

During his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience #2532, actor Tim Robbins described a 14-day fast in which he said he did not eat any solid food and lost 25 lbs. The conversation came during a discussion about health, fasting, sugar, and the way he manages his physical and mental well-being.

Robbins said he followed a version of the Master Cleanse, consuming lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup instead of meals. He also described a daily cleansing routine and said the first three days were the most difficult. After that, he claimed his energy became steadier and that he experienced greater mental clarity.

“Total mental clarity,” Robbins told Joe Rogan when asked whether fasting affected his focus.

According to Robbins, he continued working and even played sports during parts of the fast, although he said he reduced physical activity after roughly 10 days. He explained that he viewed the process as a periodic reset, particularly after gaining weight or eating more indulgently than usual.

“You got to ease your way back in,” Robbins said when discussing how he resumed eating. He explained that he began with clear broth, followed by soups and vegetables, taking approximately a week to return to regular meals. He emphasized that he did not immediately eat heavy foods after completing the fast.

Rogan noted that a prolonged fast could lead the body to rely more heavily on stored fat and ketones, comparing the experience to the steady energy some people report while following a ketogenic diet. Robbins agreed, saying he noticed fewer energy fluctuations and less reliance on caffeine or large meals.

Still, Robbins made clear that his experience was personal rather than a recommendation for everyone. “I’m not advocating even to do it,” he said, adding that people could react differently.

A 14-day fast without solid food can carry significant health risks, including dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, fainting, and complications when food is reintroduced. Anyone considering an extended fast should consult a qualified medical professional, especially if they have an existing health condition or take prescription medication.
