23 Year Old Bodybuilder Passes In Brazil Due To Hypoglycemia Caused By Insulin Use

Gabriel Ganley, a 23-year-old bodybuilder from Brazil with 1.7 million social media followers, has passed away. According to reports, the cause has allegedly been attributed to hypoglycemia brought on by insulin use.

What makes the loss particularly difficult to process is that Ganley had been a natural bodybuilder less than a year before his passing. He had built an impressive physique without PEDs, earning a massive following and widespread recognition throughout South America.

Despite his natural success, Ganley transitioned to PEDs, rapidly transforming his physique. Photos surfaced of him alongside prominent bodybuilding figures such as Nick Walker and Brazilian athlete Ramon Dino. The change was dramatic and fast.

Insulin has long been considered one of the riskiest PEDs used in bodybuilding circles because even a small dosing mistake can trigger severe hypoglycemia. Symptoms can include dizziness, confusion, extreme fatigue, and loss of consciousness, with serious cases potentially becoming fatal within minutes if untreated.

Fitness influencer Greg Doucette covered the incident on his YouTube channel. He has spoken openly about his own past use of PEDs, explained the particular dangers of insulin in bodybuilding.

“Insulin is one of the most dangerous d**gs in the world as far as bodybuilding goes,” he said. “If you want to see something that can end you like that, I’m talking about in a matter of minutes, that is it.”

Doucette described how even a minor dosing error can prove fatal. “One decimal off is the difference between life and death,” he said. “It takes one small mistake, one error, and you’re no longer with us.”

He also drew from personal experience, having gone hypoglycemic himself during past experimentation. “You feel sleepy, dizzy, no energy, and all you want to do is lay down,” he explained, noting that someone in that state might simply lie down to rest and never wake up.

Ganley had already built something real and meaningful on his own. The pressure to go further cost him everything.
