Podcaster Adam Grandmaison (better known as Adam22) made headlines when he purchased a luxury neon green Lamborghini truck worth $270,000 (£201,425) for his wife Lena the Plug following her professional collaboration with co-star Jason Luv.
The extravagant gift has resurfaced in public conversation as Adam22 prepares to face Luv in a boxing match on January 23 in Miami, Florida.
The upcoming bout, promoted by Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions, takes on added intrigue given the personal history between the two competitors. Luv, whose real name is Jason Thompson, became the first man to film content with Lena the Plug after her May 2023 marriage to Adam22.
In video that recently recirculated online, Adam22 presented the expensive vehicle to his wife shortly after her scene with Luv.
“Lena, I’m so proud of you doing your first ever () scene that I decided that I wanted to get you a little something nice,” he said before unveiling the surprise. His wife’s reaction was one of disbelief as she asked, “This? For me?” Adam22 responded, “Anything for my queen.”
Both Adam22 and Lena have built successful careers creating adult content together over several years, frequently collaborating with other performers in the industry. The decision for Lena to work with the fitness influencer twice was made with Adam22’s full knowledge and approval. The podcaster later addressed public reaction to the arrangement on social media.
“It’s officially been a week since I let my wife do p**n with another guy,” he wrote on Twitter. “I felt a little jealous at first but overall it wasn’t that big a deal. She’s watched me sleep with hundreds of girls and it’s never affected our relationship. Sleeping with that gentleman has been amazing for both her career and our business!”
Despite his initial positive response to the professional collaboration, Adam22 now appears ready to channel any complex emotions into his preparation for the boxing match. The internet personality has positioned himself as highly motivated for the contest.
“I am going to be facing Jason Luv on January 23 in Miami,” he told his 1.4 million followers. “I’m very excited. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Adam that sounds insane, you only have three weeks’ to get ready. Here’s the thing that you guys aren’t considering. I’ve been getting ready my whole life. I’ve been in the gym, I’ve been training.”
The podcaster acknowledged his opponent’s physical advantages while emphasizing what he believes are his own strengths. “This guy Jason Luv, he’s big, he’s muscular and he kind of looks like one of those Greek status, minus the whole African-American part. But I got better cardio I think and I got heart because that dude f***ed my wife.
“Put your money on me.”
Adam22 has also claimed that victory in the ring will silence critics who questioned his earlier decisions. “Nobody will ever be able to call me a c**k again after this!” he stated when the match was announced.
