In an impressive display of strength and endurance, Chinese fitness influencer Xie Ting has set a new Guinness World Record by completing 44 pull-ups in one minute at the age of 44.
The remarkable feat took place during her official attempt in Guangdong, China, on January 24, 2025, where she successfully surpassed the previous record of 39 pull-ups held by American athlete Inga Simning since 2022.
Despite her achievement, Xie maintains a humble attitude and sees potential for even greater accomplishments. “Although I broke the record, I believe there’s still room for improvement,” she told Guinness World Record officials, expressing her determination to push her limits further in future attempts.
The new record holder’s achievement has garnered attention in the fitness community and on social media, highlighting the growing influence of Asian athletes in strength-based competitions. Her success also serves as an inspiration for middle-aged fitness enthusiasts, proving that age is no barrier to setting world records.
Xie’s record-breaking performance demonstrates not only exceptional upper body strength but also remarkable consistency, as she maintained a steady rhythm throughout the entire minute to achieve her goal of 44 consecutive pull-ups.
