Why does everybody hate Israel Adesanya so much? ? pic.twitter.com/Onar52cnbb
— Vindictive ? (@VindictiveMMA) February 6, 2022
He is Bold, Black, African and Assertive. It makes some uncomfortable and they find ways to disparage his obvious skills and accomplishments. What they really do not like is the idea of him, it has nothing to do with Adesanya specifically.

The lack of professionalism is what I don't like.. It especially started when he was humping his opponent in the octagon. pic.twitter.com/16YYDyssUD

He’s just a weird dude which makes him kind of hard to like. He kind of reminds me of Peter Pan… child like with his interests and behavior at times… very good fighter though.

They are jelly he had to raise the bar on walk intros

Because he picks opponents where he's at an advantage, he has massive reach and height advantage and is not on a same playing field at all . Also avoids all close contact and uses his unfair reach advantage to win. When he moved up to fight someone with similar reach Jan he lost

??? Like it is known, success breeds envy, jealousy and hatred. In less than 2 years at UFC Izzy became the undisputed MW champion.
He remains undefeated at MW and has defended the belt a couple of times (winning all 5 title fights at MW).#UFC271 #MMA #izzy pic.twitter.com/DwwImF0Ulo— MMA SQUABBLER (@MMASquabbler) February 7, 2022
Because he started knocking out their favourites
If you look at his twitter replies from before he started beating the big name fighters and talking smack after

I was a huge fan until I saw the cringey, choreographed walkout against Whitaker in their first fight. I was planning to root for him, then I changed my mind before the fight started.
— Full Card UFC Picks (@UFCFullCards) February 7, 2022
For me personally it's because of his personality. I am into anime, gaming and stuff so it's not that part of him which I don't like. He is quite cocky and disrespectful which is the problem for me. I understand fights needs to be sold with drama but he takes it way overboard

People don’t mind when Conor does it ?
— Andrew Compean (@Andrew_Compean) February 7, 2022
And has the mind of a 16 year old, wish he’d try to get some help with actually talking with some wit and not just cringeworthy lines ? sounds like Luke Rockhold and Tito Ortiz he’s just a better fighter

it’s the ego. love watching him perform but outside of the cage hate listening to him speak
— Christian (@ChristianGuyC03) February 7, 2022
People are obsessed with the idea of a fighter being humble. Any fighter with a strong personality feels like a threat to them, probably associate them with childhood bullies. Also some of the arguments here that he's overrated are plain silly.

I tried to like him I really did. But he just has this moments that are so cringe and childish. But his CLEAR use of roids did it for me
