The internet personality known as “Wide Neck” is facing serious legal troubles after being arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate pictures to two teens. Charles McDowell, who gained viral fame due to his distinctive physical appearance in a 2018 mugshot, was taken into custody on February 19 in Georgia.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, McDowell allegedly distributed videos of a woman without her consent. The recipients included her 13-year-old son, 16-year-old daughter, mother, and another individual. The content was reportedly sent through various electronic devices on multiple occasions.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that McDowell faces several felony charges, including felony transmission of n**e images without consent, electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor, and making harassing phone calls. Due to Georgia state laws protecting information in these e cases, authorities have not released further details about the allegations.
McDowell is currently being held without bond. His latest booking photo once again displays the distinctive physical feature that initially brought him internet notoriety.
This arrest adds to McDowell’s history of legal troubles. He first captured public attention in 2018 following an arrest in Lee County, Alabama, for allegedly attempting to elude police during a reckless driving incident. His unusual appearance in the subsequent mugshot quickly turned him into a social media sensation. Since then, he has faced multiple arrests on various charges, including possession and driving with a revoked license.
