(Video) Wait, what, Joe Rogan believes dragons were real?

In a recent episode of his wildly popular podcast, Joe Rogan shared an unexpected theory that has left many fans scratching their heads – his belief that dragons once coexisted with humans.

During a conversation with comedian Adrienne Lapalucci, Rogan delved into his fascination with mythological creatures, particularly dragons. “You know what I’m really fascinated with, is things that existed, like only in myth, but that every culture has — like dragons,” Rogan explained on his show.

The podcast host pointed to the widespread presence of dragons across various civilizations as evidence for his theory. “There’s Chinese culture that has dragons, Japanese culture has dragons, ancient European has dragons,” he stated.

When Lapalucci questioned whether these creatures existed during the dinosaur era, Rogan was quick to clarify: “No, no, they lived alongside humans.” However, he dismissed the notion of fire-breathing dragons, suggesting instead that they were more like “flying crocodiles.”

“There was probably more than one kind of really dangerous reptile that they called dragons. Like Komodo dragons, giant lizards — they call it a dragon, right? Crocodile dragons,” he elaborated. Drawing parallels to prehistoric creatures, he added, “The question is whether or not one of them actually flew… because we know that pterodactyls were a real thing. I think it’s probably something like that, you know, some kind of enormous bird-type creature.”

Rogan credited the HBO series “Game of Thrones” for deepening his interest in the subject, noting, “It’s so good, it makes you want a dragon.”

The theory has sparked widespread reaction on social media, with many fans offering alternative explanations. “They were called dinosaurs,” one user tweeted, while another commented, “Yeah, they were called dinosaurs… And no, they did not breathe fire.”
