(Video) Unprovoked? Man struck to the back of the head in viral video, police seeking information

An unsettling video has surfaced online showing a man getting struck in the back of the head in an unprovoked attack. The incident occurred on Chapel Street in Prahan, Melbourne’s inner city, at around 3am on Saturday morning.

The video captures a group of men and women spilling out onto the street, with an incident breaking out shortly afterward.

The footage reveals that one man had his back turned to another man in the group when the injury occurred.

The victim, who is in his 20s, fell backwards onto the road, with his head hitting the pavement on his way down. He remained motionless on the ground while the man who threw the punch calmly walked away as if nothing had happened.

The victim was later taken to the hospital in a stable condition, while police stated that they did not receive any reports of the incident. According to a witness, tensions were escalating between the male members of the group before the incident occurred. Len Scott, who saw the altercation, described the scene as pretty bad.

Police are appealing for the victim to come forward and provide any information that might help in identifying the attacker. The attacker, who is wearing a white t-shirt, can be seen walking away from the scene in the footage. He walked away from the scene without any visible remorse.

The victim was taken to the hospital in a stable condition, but this is a lucky break. It easily could have been much worse. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help identify the attacker.
