(Video) Sucker punch knockout causes fractured skull on unsuspecting victim

A Bronx restaurant patron was left with a broken skull and a brain bleed after getting struck by a convict. A video started circulating online showing that the 52 years old was standing while carrying a bag on his shoulders.

The incident took place outside Fuego Tipico Restaurant on East 188th Street near the Grand Concourse in Fordham Manor around 10:45 p.m. when a person stopped near a group of people. A bald man wearing a black T-shirt sucker punched him in the head.

The video was made public early on Wednesday. Video clearly shows the man who struck the victim from the back, causing him to fall to the ground. After hitting the person, the perpetrator returned to the restaurant and ran away from the scene.

The police arrested the perpetrator some time later. It was an individual named Van Phu Bui who was subsequently charged with attempted murder. This was not his first infraction, he had a lengthy criminal record and was on parole at the time of the incident.

According to state records, Bui was found guilty of abuse in the Bronx in 1995 and given six years to a life sentence. He was paroled in 2019.

Bui was also accused of robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon in 1990. The men did not know each other. But following the attack, the suspect seemed to address the gathering of people standing on the sidewalk.

He put the other person’s life in danger as Cops said,
“Responding officers found the victim unconscious and unresponsive on the ground with trauma to his head. He is listed in critical but stable condition.”

Authorities said that EMS rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated for a skull fracture, broken cheekbone, and brain bleeding.
