(Video) Redneck FC features Soccer kick finish

Last weekend’s Redneck FC event in Czechia, fans witnessed a dramatic conclusion to one of the main card bouts when a competitor utilized a soccer-style kick to secure victory.

The no-rules mixed martial arts competition, gaining popularity across Eastern Europe, delivered yet another memorable highlight as audiences watched the unconventional finishing technique that has become a signature element of the promotion’s permissive ruleset.

The Redneck FC promotion has carved out a niche in the combat sports landscape by featuring contests with minimal restrictions, allowing techniques that are typically forbidden in mainstream MMA organizations.

This sort of ruleset is something aking to what Joe Rogan is advocating. Rogan is a big fan of deregulating MMA having pushed for legalization of 12 to 6 elbows and currently wanting MMA to allow hits to the back of the head despite the danger they might pose for the competitors.

Soccer kicks are allowed in several official promotions, notably Rizin and ONE FC. ONE FC in particular has a strange rule in which the ref signifies situations in which it’s okay to throw a soccer kick vs others where it’s not.

Event organizers reported strong attendance figures for the Czech showcase, continuing the trend of growing interest in alternative combat sports formats throughout the region.

Critics and supporters continue to debate the merits of such liberal rulesets, but the passionate response from those in attendance suggests the promotion has found a dedicated following eager for this unique brand of athletic competition.
