In February, footage showed Spirit Airlines agents trading blows with passengers boarding a flight in Philadelphia after a mom and her teenage daughter were hit with extra fees due to oversized carry-on luggage.
Despite Spirit Airlines previously deploying off-duty officers to monitor its gates, the deployment has been discontinued, and the airline has yet to comment on the recent incident.
The Atlanta Police Department has released a witness statement from Rhoden, stating that Scott threatened the gate agent and made a statement to other passengers about beating someone up if she was not allowed to board the flight. Rhoden then denied Scott boarding, which led to the attack.
