(Video) Passenger punches flight attendant for not letting him use first class toilet

An interesting incident took place recently on an airplane traveling to Los Angeles from San José del Cabo International Airport.

Many incidents happen on flights every day and this one was no exception because there are many short tempered people in the world.

A passenger was traveling to Los Angeles from San José del Cabo International Airport on flight AA377 and got into a heated argument with a flight attendant when the plane was mid-air.

As per the reports, the person was a 33 years old California resident Alexander Tung Cuu Le. He was embroiled in a heated argument with the flight attendant and asked the other passenger to tape the incident on his mobile phone.

A passenger was in a need of a toiler – but not just any toilet. He departed economy class and  wanted to use the first class toilet.

After the verbal exchange, the flight attendant moved to the front of the plane, turning his back toward Le. Le took advantage of the situation and hit the poor flight attendant from the back. Le was arrested upon landing at LAX and charged of  interfering with a flight crew – a charge with a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail if convicted.

American Airlines issued a statement after the incident in which they said,
“Acts of violence against our team members are not tolerated by American Airlines, The individual involved in this incident will never be allowed to travel with us in the future, and we will work closely with law enforcement in their investigation.”

The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, a union representing many flight attendants, also gave their statement on this issue,

“this violent behavior puts the safety of all passengers and crew in jeopardy and must stop.”

Although such incidents also happened in the past, after the Covid-19 outbreak in 2019, the number of such issues has increased rapidly. During Covid-19, wearing mast was mandatory, and flight staff must enforce that rule on the passenger, which caused an increase in such incidents.
