(Video) Paige Vanzant gets hit by husband to prep for her next powerslap showing

Former UFC star Paige VanZant has sparked fan discussion after sharing a glimpse into her training regime for her next Power Slap outing. VanZant’s debut in the controversial league, spearheaded by UFC president Dana White, surprised many. She emerged victorious against Christine Wolmarans, sending her opponent down twice during the clash.

Now, it seems she’s gearing up for more punishment in the face-slapping competition. On her Instagram, VanZant uploaded a video showing her partner, Austin Vanderford, swinging a foam tube at her. Fans reacted with a mix of amusement and concern.

One user commented: “You deserve better! Than to be involved in a sport where you just get the piss knocked out of you! Stupid sport. Rather see you fight. At least there you can move your head.”

VanZant’s foray into combat sports outside the UFC began in 2020 when she signed with BKFC. Despite enduring two losses in brutal bare-knuckle fights, she returned to competition this year. Debuting in the celebrity boxing scene with Misfits, VanZant ended in a draw against Elle Brooke after being knocked down.

Paige VanZant explains her decision to venture into Power Slap, saying: “When I first saw Power Slap, I thought, holy sh*t, that’s insane. When I see stuff that is crazy and exciting, it instantly makes me want to do it. ”

She added: “I love to compete, and this is violent, and this is literally the epitome of being a dog. I need to take a belt home, that is the goal. I’m not going to go anywhere until I get the belt.”
