Content creator Nina-Marie Daniele showcased her wrestling abilities against a local Georgian challenger while visiting the country with UFC bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili.
The entertaining exchange began when a Georgian YouTuber approached Daniele with a wrestling challenge, which she accepted without hesitation. What followed was a brief but enthusiastic grappling session that had Dvalishvili absolutely thrilled as he took on the role of enthusiastic referee.
“Let them fight—don’t stop it!” Dvalishvili could be heard encouraging from the sidelines, his excitement palpable as the two women circled each other.
Daniele, who has become known for her training segments with UFC fighters, appeared to implement some of those learned techniques. After a tentative start, she managed to secure what fans have counted as “2 reversals and 1 takedown,” essentially winning the friendly competition 3-0.
The video quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing reactions from numerous UFC personalities including women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison who commented: “I literally can not. 😂😂😂”
Other fighters and fans were quick to praise Daniele’s technique and Dvalishvili’s enthusiastic commentary:
“Nina with the low stance! 🙌🏼🙌🏼” noted one observer.
“All that training with the pros paid off 😂 someone show this to Shevchenko, I want to see her reaction 😂” commented another fan.
“Merab #1 instigator😭” wrote another, highlighting Dvalishvili’s enthusiastic role in the proceedings.
The Georgian adventure appears to have made a significant impact on Daniele, who later shared an emotional message thanking the Georgian people for their hospitality.
“It’s just a really beautiful country. You guys have been so nice to me. I’m just so happy. I’m so grateful to be here,” Daniele expressed in a separate video.
Daniele has been traveling through Georgia with Dvalishvili following his victory over Sean O’Malley at UFC 316, experiencing the culture and hospitality of the fighter’s homeland firsthand.
As for her wrestling prospects, Daniele jokingly commented: “Send me 2-3 years to Georgia and forget 🇬🇪🤼♀️😂” suggesting she might need some extended training before taking on more experienced opponents.
