(Video) New footage emerges of Tony Ferguson getting arrested & bail set at $30k

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department early on Sunday morning after a multiple-vehicle crash in Hollywood.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department and The Los Angeles Times, Ferguson was arrested on charges of driving under the influence (DUI). The incident has been widely shared on social media, showing Ferguson standing next to an overturned pickup truck that had crashed with several parked vehicles.

Ferguson was once considered one of the most feared guys in the UFC, but his career has taken a turn for the worse since his loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 249.

He has lost five consecutive, including getting knocked out by Michael Chandler at UFC 274 (a year ago almost exactly) and submitted by Nate Diaz at UFC 279. Despite his recent struggles, Ferguson still has a devoted fanbase that expressed their concern after the news of his arrest.

Some fans pointed out that Ferguson has not been the same since he tripped over a wire and tore his fibular collateral ligament back in 2018. They lamented that his career has been on a steady decline since then.

Ferguson was detained in Hollywood after allegedly crashing his truck into two parked automobiles in front of a nightclub. Despite not being injured from the incident, Ferguson reportedly refused to take a field test and was declared “very uncooperative” at the scene.

According to MMAFighting, Ferguson has been arrested for a misdemeanor and his bail has been set at $30,000. As of the time of writing, he has not been released yet.
