In a funny scene, Michael “Venom” Page brought entertainment to a new level during the UFC Saudi Arabia open workouts. The British striking specialist showcased what appeared to be choreographed moves reminiscent of action movies, drawing both laughter and amazement from spectators.
His performance comes ahead of his anticipated bout with undefeated Sharaputdin “Shara Bullet” Magomedov (15-0) this Saturday. The Dagestani star, who has embraced a pirate persona, expressed confidence during Wednesday’s media day about his upcoming match with Page.
“He says that I’m a very, very comfortable opponent for him but he doesn’t even understand how uncomfortable I’m going to be for him, and how comfortable he’s going to be for me,” Magomedov stated. “Because when you go into the cage with a pirate, once I bite into you, I will not let go. I have a death grip, and he’s not going to be able to get away from me.”
While Page demonstrated theatrical techniques during his workout, Magomedov maintained his focus on the upcoming contest. “Whether we’re gonna keep standing, whether we’re gonna go down, he’s going to keep getting damage,” the Dagestani fighter declared.
Magomedov also revealed future plans for his pirate character, which has captured fans’ imagination. “I’m hoping to buy a ship and potentially sail to my next event. At least at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi I’ll be able to do that, so keep your cameras ready.”
The contrasting styles and personalities of both athletes have created significant buzz around their upcoming middleweight clash at UFC Saudi Arabia.
