(Video) McGregor spits in fan’s face after he shows respect for Khabib

A video circulating online appears to show former UFC champion Conor McGregor spitting at a fan who expressed support for Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In the footage, captured at an unidentified shopping center, McGregor can be seen walking with his security detail when a fan approaches requesting a photo. One of McGregor’s entourage responds, “Not right now.”

At that moment, someone in the vicinity can be heard shouting “Let’s go Khabib!” prompting McGregor to turn around and confront the individual. The video then shows McGregor approaching the person, whose back is to the camera, followed by what sounds like spitting.

“I spit in your face, what you do? Nothing,” McGregor can be heard saying in the clip. He then adds, “I spit in your face you fool,” before departing with his security team.

McGregor has not publicly addressed the incident, and his representatives have been contacted for comment.

The incident appears to stem from the long-standing rivalry between McGregor and Nurmagomedov, which reached its peak during their October 2018 UFC Lightweight Championship bout, which Nurmagomedov won. The event ended in chaos when a large-scale altercation broke out following the match.

Earlier that year, McGregor had faced legal troubles after an incident involving a bus carrying Nurmagomedov and his team in New York. He was subsequently charged with three counts of assault, criminal mischief, menacing, and reckless endangerment, resulting in five days of community service.

McGregor’s most recent professional appearance was in July 2021, where he faced Dustin Poirier. Recently, there had been discussions about a potential match with Logan Paul, though McGregor indicated this is no longer being pursued. “It is what it is,” McGregor told The Schmo. “It was business savvy, and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say to make the glorified spar happen.”
