Bryce Henry demonstrated why karma remains undefeated during last night’s BKFC Fight Night event in Omaha, Nebraska.
The bareknuckle boxing match at The Astro arena took an unusual turn between the first and second rounds when Henry, sporting a perfect 4-0 BKFC record, decided to switch roles with his coaching staff in a brazen display of showmanship.
As the bell rang signaling the break, Henry casually made his coach take a seat on the stool while he stretched his legs out, effectively reversing their roles. While his coaching staff attempted to provide strategic advice and pointers, Henry playfully ignored them, instead jokingly checking his coach for injuries.
“Next level trolling mid competition,” one spectator commented on social media as footage of the moment quickly went viral.
The theatrical display drew laughs from the crowd, but what happened next turned those chuckles into gasps. In a dramatic turn of events, Henry followed his comedic interlude with serious business in the second round, delivering a vicious knockout against his opponent Derrick Findley.
“Now 5-0 Bryce Henry wants a piece of the Champion @NoDoubtTrout,” BKFC posted alongside video of the dramatic conclusion.
Friday’s card was already action-packed before Henry’s antics, featuring numerous knockouts and intense action that had the crowd on their feet. The event began with back-to-back stoppages followed by four five-round contests that were particularly harsh.
For Henry, the victory marks an important return to winning ways after suffering his first professional loss last October against boxer Yoenli Hernandez. His performance in Omaha proves he remains a rising star in the BKFC organization despite his momentary showboating.
Videos of both his between-rounds antics and subsequent knockout continue to circulate online, Henry has certainly found the memorable moment he was looking for—even if his coaching staff might prefer a more traditional approach next time.
