Bellator 293 was held at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California, on March 31, 2023. Apart from Trainer’s impressive performance and proposal, there were other exciting matchups on the main card.

In the sole middleweight matchup on the main card, John Salter defeated Aaron Jeffery via unanimous decision. Meanwhile, the light-heavyweight matchup between Archie Colgan and Justin Montalvo ended in a first-round TKO win for Colgan, who improved his undefeated record to 7-0, with four of those wins coming inside the Bellator cage.
