(Video) Luke Rockhold gets the best of Mike Perry and snatches an RNC at their intense BKFC face off

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will face off against Mike Perry in a highly anticipated bare-knuckle boxing match at BKFC 41 on April 29 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

The week festivities kicked off with a press conference on Thursday evening, where the two came face-to-face for the first time since Perry wiped his nose and proceeded to rub it on Rockhold.

The lead-up to the card has been intense, with Rockhold and Perry engaging in playful banter during the press conference.

Perry, who is coming off a win against Bellator’s Michael ‘Venum’ Page in August 2022, showed off a custom-made championship belt and pretended he was going to hit Rockhold. Rockhold tried to grab the belt and jokingly sunk in a RNC when he missed.

Rockhold, who last sqared up against Paulo Costa at UFC 278 in August 2022, is looking to redeem himself after suffering his third consecutive loss. The California native requested his release from the UFC, leading to his signing with BKFC. On the other hand, Perry has found tremendous success since leaving the UFC in 2021. He secured wins against veteran boxer Michael Seals in Triad Combat and Julian Lane in BKFC.

Eddie Alvarez, the former Bellator and UFC lightweight champion, will make his BKFC debut against Chad Mendes in the co-main event of BKFC 41. Alvarez, who spent his last four with ONE Championship, parted ways with the promotion amicably. Mendes, on the other hand, won his BKFC debut with a fourth-round knockout in February 2022.

Other UFC veterans scheduled to compete in BKFC 41 include ‘Big’ Ben Rothwell, Bec Rawlings, Chris Camozzi, Dan Spohn, and Josh Copeland. With such a star-studded event, BKFC 41 is bound to be an unforgettable night for combat spors fans.
