Khabib Nurmagomedov is used to being in front of the camera. Following his retirement he’s been more and more active promoting different products. From his horse meat sandwich shop to Crypto projects. But at least his latest collaboration is funny.
Khabib and Clarence Seedorf, a legendary Dutch football player, are seen in the promo traveling to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will begin in Qatar in November.
With a surprise towards the end, Khabib and Seedorf are shown introducing the opulent qualities of Etihad Airways.
This is not the first time Seedorf and Khabib Nurmagomedov have worked together. The pair had established SK Performance Club, a soccer (ie football) academy with MMA integration, in Canada.
According to the performance club’s mission statement, “Our mission is to share the values that unite us with the kids in the world promoting intercultural knowledge, equality, inclusion and respect, using sport to facilitate the positive impact we want to have. Khabib has shown his passion for football in the past. Several videos online show the Russian superstar enjoying the game and mingling with famous players like Kylian Mbappe, Sir Alex Ferguson, Patrice Evra, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nurmagomedov’s longtime friend and student, Islam Makhachev will face Charles Oliveira on October 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He will compete for the vacant lightweight title.
Makachev has 10 straight victories going into the match. However, he has come under fire for essentially riding on his buddy and coach Khabib Nurmagomedov’s popularity.
