(Video) Joe Rogan Does Not Simply Agree To Getting Fact Checked

In a recent podcast episode, popular host Joe Rogan found himself at odds with his producer Jamie as they discussed alleged payments to celebrities for political endorsements.

Rogan initially claimed that Beyoncé had received $10 million for a brief political appearance. “Beyonce got ten million dollars,” Rogan stated. “She talked for like three minutes.”

However, Jamie quickly fact-checked this assertion, noting there was no evidence to support it. “There’s no federal records showing campaign payments to Eminem or Megan the stallion,” Jamie explained.

Undeterred, Rogan continued to discuss various rumored payments to celebrities, including claims that Eminem received $1.8 million and Lizzo got $3 million. Jamie again intervened, pointing out these figures came from an unverified Instagram post.

“It’s his an Instagram list,” Jamie clarified. “There’s no federal records showing campaign payments.”

Despite being presented with contradictory information, Rogan seemed reluctant to fully retract his statements. “If I’m wrong, I’m willing to it, you know,” he said, before adding, “I read it and my blood boiled.”

The exchange highlighted the challenges of navigating political rumors and misinformation in the digital age. While Rogan initially presented the celebrity payment claims as fact, Jamie’s real-time fact-checking efforts revealed the lack of concrete evidence behind these assertions.

As the conversation progressed, Rogan acknowledged the possibility of error but still seemed drawn to the allure of the unverified claims. “It might be true,” he mused, even after being informed the stories were rated as “mostly false” by fact-checkers.
