(Video) Jan Blachowicz gives a whole new meaning to the Warrior/Poet ethos

Warrior poet is one of the fun tropes in the world of martial arts. Warrior poets are typically those that present themselves as training and combating for a better future.

The trope comes from ancient Irish society and literature but it has roots in Greek philosophy as well.

In modern times, the term is reserved for those who identify with Samurai and uphold some old views on the world. In the world of mixed martial arts – Jiri Prochazka is a fine example.

As evidenced by his Samurai haircut and his tree thumping style the trope is not absent of fans in the largest MMA promotion in the world – UFC.

This time, another European presented a funny side of the trope. Polish powered Jan Blachowicz was shooting promos for his duel with Aleksandar Rakic when the following gem emerged from him.
