(Video) Israel Adesanya trained the exact KO sequence from UFC 287

At UFC 287 in Miami, Adesanya delivered a jaw-dropping knockout victory over Pereira in the second round. Adesanya was cornered by Pereira cage side and it seemed like he would lose. But with a sudden burst of energy, Adesanya unleashed a perfectly timed knockout punch, catching Pereira off-guard. He then sent a flurry of punches that secured his victory.

Adesanya finally reclaimed his middleweight title and solidified his status as one of the greatest combat sports competitors in the history of MMA.

The 33-year-old competitor first joined the UFC in 2018 and captured the middleweight title in 2019 with a stunning knockout victory against then-champion Robert Whittaker.

Adesanya’s recent knockout win over Pereira has been the talk of the town, with speculations arising about the strategic planning behind the victory. A video has recently surfaced that reveals Adesanya’s training for the sequence.

Fans are now expecting another match between Adesanya and Pereira in MMA.

At the press conference after the match, White was questioned about the likelihood of a quick rematch. White stated that Pereira may not compete at middleweight anymore, and maybe move up to the light heavyweight division.

He stated: “Honestly, I think that [Alex] Pereira probably moves to 205[lbs] after this fight. He’s a monster. “I know that he still had like two pounds to cut leading up… it was like an hour left of the weigh-in, and yeah, I mean, I’m not saying he’s moving to 205[lbs], but I would assume he is, you guys could ask him himself. But it wouldn’t surprise me.”
