(Video) Hollywood star Jason Momoa grapples ADCC superstar on hardwood floor

An unlikely friendship was recently unveiled. BJJ superstar Gordon Ryan had made friends with Aquaman star, longtime actor, Jason Momoa and the two spent some time together in Hawaii.

Ryan often vents about his frustrations with liberal politicians online which makes him an unlikely companion for infamously woke Momoa.

And while the two got along famously – their respective fanbases had a field day elaborating on their various political differences.

Ryan was also called out by a liberal fraction of fans for choosing  to get a native Hawaiian tattoo.

Ryan had to even intervene and talk down his fans from harassing Momoa on social media.

“We made a new friend. Jason Momoa is seemingly one of the nicest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met. What I learned from him and being around him in just 2 short days is priceless. We hung out, I watched him work, which was fascinating, we drank, we grappled, we had many deep conversations, and we had a lot of fun. He is authentic, he cares for and takes care of his friends and family, he fights for what he believes in, and he works very hard. He is someone I am glad to call a friend.”

Momoa and Ryan have a common interest – Brazilian jiu-tjisu. He has been periodically spotted doing jiu-jitsu as far back as 2017. Prior to BJJ, Momoa had interest in rock climbing and was known for his buff physique.

Like many Hollywood stars, Momoa first started at Rigan Machado’s bjj studio where Halle Barry, Keanu Reaves and others also got their start.

Momoa and Ryan were accompanied by Ryan’s live-in girlfriend and had watched some pro-grappling at which point the two playfully grappled on the floor.

Ryan just announced he’s parting ways with ONE FC, and announced a comeback to UFCFightpass. There he will be facing UFC veteran Vinny Magalhaes.
