(Video) Former UFC Champ Tyron Woodley gets knocked out in a big-budget Indian film

Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley continues to expand his entertainment portfolio, this time appearing in a memorable scene from the high-profile Indian film “Sultan” that has social media buzzing.

Woodley, who has already established himself as a versatile performer with roles in Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” and 12 other film and television productions, including “Escape Plan” sequels and “Kickboxer,” showcases his acting abilities in what can only be described as a uniquely choreographed sequence.

In the recently surfaced clip shared by the Show Me The Money podcast on X (formerly Twitter), Woodley plays a character named Tyron who faces off against the movie’s protagonist, Sultan Ali Khan. The scene features Woodley’s character attempting to deliver a finishing move on a grounded Sultan, only to have the tables dramatically turned. Sultan rolls away, regains his footing, and unleashes a combination of strikes.

The sequence culminates in Sultan applying a kimura hold as Woodley’s character attempts a takedown. In true Bollywood fashion, Sultan then executes a German suplex followed by a fireman’s carry slam that renders Tyron unconscious.

While acting has become a significant part of Woodley’s career path, he’s not done with combat sports. The former champion was recently selected as the number one overall pick in the inaugural Global Fight League draft by Team Dubai, led by former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and renowned coach Javier Mendez. Woodley is anticipated to compete for the promotion in 2025.

His last professional sporting appearance was in December 2021 against Jake Paul, following their initial contest in August of that same year. Prior to his boxing ventures, Woodley’s last MMA appearance was against Vicente Luque at UFC 260.
