(Video) Football player gave his opponent 24 stitches and a shattered jaw with a Muay Thai elbow

In a memorable incident during a Thai League 3 match awhile back, a player from Bangkok FC delivered a devastating elbow strike to an opponent’s face, resulting in severe injuries. The violent act occurred in the fourth minute of added time when North Bangkok University FC’s Supasan Ruangsuphanimit made contact with Aitsaret Noichaiboon’s heels as the ball went out of bounds.

Noichaiboon, visibly upset by the incident, approached Ruangsuphanimit and unleashed a powerful elbow strike to his face, reminiscent of techniques used in Muay Thai, Thailand’s national combat sport. The impact was immediate and severe, causing Ruangsuphanimit to collapse on the field.

The referee swiftly intervened, showing Noichaiboon a red card and ejecting him from the game. However, the consequences for the Bangkok FC player extended far beyond the match itself. In a decisive move, Bangkok FC announced the termination of Noichaiboon’s contract, emphasizing their stance against such violent behavior.

A statement released on the club’s Facebook page read, “Bangkok FC would like to [take a] stand and not support the action. The club has cancelled the contract of the player. The club would like to express our condolences for the incident, and will do everything possible to stop this happening again.”

Meanwhile, Ruangsuphanimit was rushed to Bangpakok-Rangsit 2 Hospital for emergency treatment. Medical staff discovered that the player had sustained a severe wound to his upper lip area, requiring 24 stitches. Additionally, reports suggest that Ruangsuphanimit suffered a shattered jaw from the forceful impact.

North Bangkok University FC released a statement regarding their player’s condition, saying, “After seeing a doctor [they] found that the upper lip area has a severe wound. The doctor therefore sewed a total of 24 stitches to cover the wound. The club will provide care and responsibility.”

The match, which ended with North Bangkok University FC leading 3-0, has been overshadowed by this unfortunate event.
