(Video) Floyd Mayweather kicks baby out of press conference: This is not a daycare

Legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently requested that a baby be taken out of a news conference.

The 50-0 American boxer will compete against reality TV personality and MMA vet Aaron Chalmers. On February 25, their exhibition boxing match is scheduled to take place at London’s O2 Arena.

Mayweather heard a child at a recent press conference before this bout and said:

“Excuse me, whoever’s child that is, you gotta take your child out, please … Thank you. No disrespect but this is a press conference, it’s not a daycare. Want to make sure we’re all on the same page.”

This match with Chalmers is the next in a series of Mayweather’s numerous retirement exhibition matches. After taking on former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor in 2017, the American announced his retirement from the sport.

Following his retirement in 2017, Mayweather has competed in exhibition matches against kickboxing legend Tenshin Nasukawa, Deji Olatunji, Mikuru Asakura, Don Moore, Logan Paul, and others.

Aaron Chalmers is most known for being a cast member of the reality series Geordie Shore. He has a 5-2 record in MMA and has competed in Bellator MMA. Chalmers last competed in 2020.

At first, Floyd Mayweather wanted to box Liam Harrison, one of the most powerful pracitioners in UK Muay Thai history. Unfortunately, Harrison had to withdraw from the match. This was due to a knee injury he suffered against Nong-O Gaiyanghadao in his ONE Muay Thai World Title match. Instead, Floyd Mayweather will now face Aaron Chalmers in an exhibition match.

There were talks that Mayweather would face Jake Paul in a match. However, negotiations between them fell through.

During the press conference, Mayweather said: “We spoke to Jake Paul before and we can only do an exhibition because of the weight disadvantage. I can’t get to 190 pounds.”

“If I could, I would, but I can’t, my body won’t allow it. I’m not chasing it anymore. I have accomplished everything I could in boxing. ”

“Give them a chance to go out there so they can shine. It’s not about Jake Paul, it’s not about Floyd Mayweather.”
