(Video) Floyd Mayweather confronts Jake Paul at a basketball game, Paul flees

In May of 2021, Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul had a heated confrontation that went viral after Paul grabbed Mayweather’s hat during a press conference for Logan Paul vs Mayweather.

Earlier last year, Mayweather demanded Paul leave the UAE arena before he would agree to walk out for his boxing exhibition against KSI’s brother Deji.

During the news conference held before his bout with Chalmers, Mayweather said: “We spoke to Jake Paul before and we can only do an exhibition because of the weight disadvantage. I can’t get to 190 pounds.”

“If I could, I would, but I can’t, my body won’t allow it. I’m not chasing it anymore. I have accomplished everything I could in boxing. We have so many young fighters in boxing today. Give them a chance to go out there so they can shine. It’s not about Jake Paul, it’s not about Floyd Mayweather.”

Paul insisted he doesn’t do exhibitions in his response.

The two crossed paths once again, this time outside of the Miami Heat game.

After the Miami Heat game on Wednesday night, Mayweather and Paul came face to face in a heated exchange. Words were exchanged, and Paul, who reportedly felt threatened by Mayweather’s large entourage, fled the scene.

The entire encounter was caught on video, which was first released by TMZ.

After the incident, Jake Paul took to social media to share his side of the story. According to him, Mayweather and his entourage pulled up out of nowhere and confronted him outside the stadium.

Paul explained that he didn’t want any trouble and had no idea why Mayweather was still angry about the hat incident from two years ago.

While Paul is coming off his first career loss last month, Mayweather also saw action in the ring with an exhibition in the UK.

Despite retiring from boxing in 2017, Mayweather continues to make headlines for his involvement in the sport and other publicized events.
