(Video) Fast food worker uses MMA skills to take down car thief

A young man used mixed martial arts expertise to defeat a suspected carjacker. This made the young man into a national hero.

Mykel Gordon has officially been recognized by Chick-fil-A.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office claims that 43-year-old William Branch rushed inside the Chick-fil-A restaurant and grabbed the keys of a woman who was holding an infant.

The alleged thief then attempted to take off with the woman’s vehicle. However, a courageous employee of the business intervened.

Mykel Gordon reacted quickly. He pursued the suspect around the parking lot and eventually brought him to the ground with a well-timed tackle.

Gordon applied a deep guillotine hold. This is the kind of skillful submission we’re accustomed to seeing from UFC champion Charles Oliveira. The carjacker then attempted to free himself.

Later, when local law police got to the scene, Branch was detained. He is now being held on accusations of armed carjacking. In a statement, police praised the young kid for his bravery and gave him a shout-out.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department shared a video of the crazy episode on social media. It didn’t take long for it to become viral as many praised the young Chick-fil-A worker.

While many people praised him for his unbridled courage, others praised him for his prowess in the ring. Some even urged him to commit fully to MMA.
