(Video) F1 star Daniel Ricciardo sparring with UFC star Charles Oliveira

F1 star Daniel Ricciardo had a sparring session with UFC star Charles Oliveira. The pair had a light training session and was seen having fun together.

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira suffered a devastating loss against Islam Makhachev in October at UFC 280. The Brazilian failed to get the lightweight belt back after he was stripped due to missing weight.

Much like any other athlete, Oliveira can be seen devastated following his loss and looked emotional backstage and throughout the press conference. Several weeks after UFC 280, Oliveira has already gotten back on his feet.

‘Do Bronx’ recently received a special visit back to his gym Chute Boxe in Brazil. He was visited by F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo from the McLaren team. The Australian-Italian driver is in Brazil for the Interlagos GP next Sunday. Oliveira and Ricciardo entered the cage with gloves on and had a fun but intense workout together.

In a video uploaded to McLaren’s account, Oliveira and Ricciardo can be seen having a boxing sparring session, with Oliveira giving instructions. They also did a staredown akin to MMA stare downs promotions facilitate prior to an event.

“That face-off definitely needs work.” The account captioned.

There were reports UFC was trying to book Charles Oliveira with rising star Rafael Fiziev. However, Oliveira declined the matchup.

He explained he’s going to take a break after being pretty active in the last year. The 33-year-old had 4 outings in just 17 months with around 8 to 10 weeks of training in camp in between outings.
