(Video) Dillian Whyte tried his hand at MMA prior to Boxing title run – and knocked out his opponent in 12 seconds

Dillian Whyte is eagerly anticipating his WBC Heavyweight title bout against Tyson Fury. The two are set to clash this weekend in United Kingdom.

But before he became an established boxer he actually dabbled in kickboxing and even tried his hand at mixed martial arts. Whyte, aged 19, made his MMA debut in December of 2009 against Mark Stroud. The two clashed at UCMMA 1: Bad Breed in London.

On the same card were UFC’s Jimi Manuwa and Tom Watson. Whyte wasted no time and put his opponent away in staggering 12 seconds.

Whyte threw an overpowering overhand right that landed straight on his opponent’s chin which ended the bout.

Whyte would go on to have several kickboxing bouts including a championship bout – that he lost against Chris Knowles.

Whyte has a professional boxing record consisting of 28 wins and 2 losses.
