(Video) Chimaev Nurmagomedov brawl explained in translated footage

A closer look video of the brawl between Khamzat Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin has surfaced. The video reveals the context for the altercation and what was allegedly uttered during their heated exchange.

Following Islam Makhachev’s victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 last weekend, a scuffle between Chimaev and Abubakar broke out. The two got into it Octagon-side during Makhachev’s interview. UFC security was forced to step in.

The security ultimately separated Chimaev and Abubakar, but not before strikes were exchanged. Khabib was also spotted watching the altercation from inside the octagon, ready to step in.

In the footage, Abubakar is seen being approached by Chimaev, who then taps him on the stomach. Chimaev is then called back by Abubakar, who questions him about his actions.

They start arguing until Abubakar tries to intimidate Chimaev, to which the latter responds aggressively. Before chaos breaks out, Chimaev pushes Abubakar and avoids the blows directed at him.

Recently, UFC veteran Khabib ended the “nonsense” feud by making a statement. Khabib spoke in a room where Chimaev and Abubakar were present. He said, “What happened yesterday does not show us well. Neither me, nor Khamzat nor Abubakar. To tell you the truth, we are tired of this nonsense.”

“Here we are gathered together as brothers, we hugged and Inshallah I hope that in the future we will only gather and fight for good reasons.”

After trading insults on social media, Team Khabib and Chimaev finally reached a truce. Following Chimaev’s theatrics at UFC 279, Khabib had criticized him and said that his team needed more Muslims.
