UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell has taken his love for chickens to a whole new level by turning the Octagon into a chicken coop. Mitchell, known for his unique personality and passion for all things country, has brought his feathered friends to the gym and even incorporated them into his training routine.
The Arkansas native has been spotted running drills with his chickens and even sparring with them in the cage. While some may find this unconventional, Mitchell remains unfazed. “Chickens are the ultimate training partners,” he said. “They’re fast, agile, and they never back down from a fight. Plus, they’re great for stress relief.”
Despite the raised eyebrows, Mitchell is confident in his methods. “I know it sounds crazy, but trust me, it works,” he said. “Just wait until you see me in the Octagon. I’ll be clucking my way to victory.”
In addition to his unique training methods, Mitchell is also known for his off-the-grid lifestyle. The UFC star resides in a small trailer on rural land, where he raises livestock and grows his own food for self-sufficiency.
With winter approaching, Mitchell has detailed some of the challenges of trailer life when the temperatures drop and snow piles high. He has recounted one extreme blizzard where “the ship tank will freeze up” leaving him to “go outside in the snow” to take care of his personal needs.
Despite the hardships, Mitchell embraces the character-building nature of living off the grid. He explained it’s “all about trying to be as self-sufficient as possible” to escape “economic slavery.” With even tougher economic times potentially ahead, Mitchell wants to be ready and equip his family for what he sees as an impending “mark of the beast” system.
While most UFC stars enjoy the fruits of fame in spacious homes, Mitchell prefers his rural homestead. But with his first child being a newborn, he is building them a house so his wife can finally have a closet. In the meantime, Mitchell toughs out frigid Arkansas winters alongside his livestock and crops – the product of hard work and perseverance against the elements that also built him into a fierce competitor destined for a UFC title.
