(Video) Adesanya Almost KOs Coach With Wheel Kick To the Back Of Head

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya nearly caused a serious injury during a training session ahead of his summer return. ‘The Last Stylebender’ almost took out his coach with a spinning kick to the back of the head.

Israel Adesanya is focusing on his upcoming bout against top contender Jared Cannonier. They are set to headline UFC 276 event on July 3. Adesanya is looking to have his fifth title defense after successfully retaining it against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271 back in February.

Meanwhile Jared Cannonier has gone 5-1 after moving down to the middleweight division. His only loss was against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in 2020. Since then, the 38-year-old has defeated Kelvin Gastelum and Derek Brunson and currently sits at number 2 in the middleweight ranking.

Currently, Adesanya is busy training in his gym City Kickboxing in Auckland, New Zealand. The gym where he has been training since 2010.

Adesanya’s teammate shared a video showcasing their training together in the training camp. In the video, Adesanya can be seen practicing his kicks with his teammate. The 32-year-old New Zealander followed his teammate’s move and almost kicked him on the back of his head with a wayward wheel kick

“F*ck, my bad.” Adesanya hilariously gasped.

Fortunately, they didn’t stand too close to each other and the kick missed. His teammate also managed to duck a bit and avoided getting knocked out. Adesanya panicked and hilariously gasped while covering his mouth. The two laughed it off and bumped fists before continuing their training.

Adesanya is still undefeated in the middleweight division. Since snatching the title from Robert Whittaker in 2019, he has defended it 4 times so far. However, he tasted his one and only loss when he started his light heavyweight debut against Jan Blachowicz.
