Veterans beg Trump to keep Tim Kennedy out of Politics: It’s going to blow up in your face

Military veterans are sounding the alarm over Tim Kennedy‘s recent White House appearance with former President Donald Trump, calling for his immediate removal from political circles amid escalating controversy surrounding his military service record.

The outcry came during a recent episode of The Antihero Podcast, where hosts and fellow veterans expressed outrage over Kennedy‘s prominent positioning at a high-profile event with the former president.

“The only thing they have in common, they both tell stories about getting injured, but Tim’s isn’t real. And that’s well documented by his own teammates. You weren’t injured in combat,”

one podcast host asserted, referencing Kennedy‘s alleged fabrication of combat injury stories despite having no Purple Heart recognition.

The podcast hosts meticulously dissected Kennedy‘s military service claims, highlighting what they describe as a consistent pattern of embellishment and outright fabrication. Kennedy‘s explanation for failing sniper school—claiming he “intentionally failed” due to wedding scheduling conflicts—was directly contradicted by his former sniper instructor and classmate, who stated Kennedy simply failed the “unknown distance” test weeks into the course.

His claims about sustaining combat injuries without receiving a Purple Heart also drew intense skepticism, with veterans pointing out that military protocols ensure combat injuries are properly documented and processed for awards, even under unconventional command structures.

Veterans appear particularly concerned that Kennedy‘s controversial reputation could become a significant liability for Trump and legitimate veteran causes. One host revealed direct outreach to political figures in Trump‘s circle:

“I texted Mike Waltz personally. I texted him the link to our podcast. I said, ‘If you don’t keep him away from the White House and all of politics and the DoD, this is going to blow up in everyone’s faces.'”

The podcast highlighted Kennedy‘s behavior at the Trump event, noting,

“See how he shoved himself at the top photo in front of everyone else and then he shoved himself to the center of the photo behind Trump. He had to be the center of the attention.”

Critics suggest Kennedy‘s transformation from MMA star to political commentator appears financially motivated rather than ideologically sincere.

“He’s gone full political, full right wing. He’s found his lane,”

one commentator noted, with another adding,

“He goes, ‘This is where the money’s at.’ And it is! It’s big money.”

The podcast previously allegedly revealed that Kennedy reportedly receives “an unspecified large amount” for promoting the National Guard, suggesting this relationship may have allowed his controversial memoir to bypass typical Department of Defense review protocols required for military books.

Kennedy‘s credibility has faced mounting challenges after several investigations uncovered apparent fabrications in his military service accounts. Claims about being a Distinguished Honor Graduate from Ranger School, sustaining shrapnel wounds, and his role in combat missions have been disputed by military records and testimonies from fellow service members.

During a recent appearance on the Overdogs Podcast, Kennedy admitted that some details of his experiences, particularly regarding a firefight in Afghanistan’s Oruzgan Valley, might have been “misremembered” or “exaggerated.” His former commander, Travis Warlock, and several team members have publicly disputed Kennedy‘s descriptions of combat incidents detailed in his memoir, Scars and Stripes.

The veterans warned that Kennedy‘s continued presence in political circles represents a ticking time bomb:

“The other side of the aisle is always looking for reasons… stolen valor, who is a fake wounded warrior, fake war stories… to put him in the same room as the president and try to somehow validify him as a war hero—it’s going to blow up in your face.”

They emphasized their concern isn’t partisan but about integrity within the veteran community, concluding that Kennedy‘s controversial status is “one phone call away from CNN,” suggesting media scrutiny could quickly escalate into a major political liability for Trump and legitimate veteran causes.
