Ukrainian McGregor tries to save face – he wasn’t released by the UFC, he’s done with MMA

Ukrainian McGregor Askar Mozharov is one of the more interesting stories that came out of uneventful filler UFC cards. The juicy looking Mozharov was caught padding his record which had faced scrutiny with his signing to the UFC.

Once 21-12, he is now officially 19-13 with more and more suspicious fights unearthed.

Mozharov posted the following justification prior to UFC Vegas 56:

“For 7 years my record was fine but as soon as I got a fight in UFC you started destroying it. They didn’t like me from the start”

“I was framed by two people from Russia whom I trusted!”

Mozharov was matched up with Alonzo Menifield. Menifield finished him by elbows from crucifix.

Immediately after the loss, Mozharov posted the following on social media:

And now it’s official – Mozharov was removed from the roster.

And it appears his future and ‘big ideas’ are also under advisement. Mozharov announced he was reconsidering MMA as a career choice saying:

“Askar Mozharov announced on Instagram that he left MMA – Many people ask what I have with the UFC – I have moved away from MMA and decided to stop cooperation, on my initiative! I’m not surprised by what media writes there! I’m done with MMA! There are other plans, thank you all!” translated via iHeartGeorgius1 on Twitter
