UFC’s Molina claims blackmail led to NSFW video leak that forced him to come out of the closet

Jeff Molina made headlines after a NSFW video of him servicing a guy leaked online. This led to him coming out as bisexual.

While Molina’s announcement may not have been handled perfectly, the support he has received from fans and peers has been incredibly moving.

After the leak of his intimate video, Jeff Molina was blackmailed for money by the person who posted it. The blackmailer demanded $10,000 to $25,000 or they would repost the video.

Molina tried to have the video taken down, but his efforts were in vain. In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Jeff Molina opened up about the emotional turmoil he went through:

“The guy who posted it wanted an apology from me for something petty. I think it was the second post that I got like 2-3 DMs on Twitter like, ‘Send me $10,000 or $25,000 or I’m going to post this.’…Immediately it’s like my life is in shambles. I’m going through it, I’m bawling.”

Despite the initial emotional distress he felt, Jeff Molina’s heart was warmed by the support he received from fellow athletes, UFC stars, and people with notoriety. Molina’s announcement as the first male UFC star to come out as bisexual has also given hope to others who may be going through similar situations.

Jeff Molina’s announcement has shone a spotlight on the issue of discrimination and inequality faced by members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This is particularly relevant in the world of combat sports, where athletes are expected to exhibit strong masculinity and any deviation from this norm is often met with ridicule and discrimination.
