UFC’s Ian Garry sports custom watch featuring UFC canvas from his unanimous decision victory

Ian Machado Garry kept his undefeated record intact at UFC 303, with his latest and perhaps biggest win coming against Michael ‘Venom’ Page. While his fight failed to garner much momentum, his post-fight lavishness did.

Backstage at UFC 303’s post-fight conference, ‘The Future’ was showcasing his unique Timex timepiece, which was made from the event-used canvas, blood-soaked from the Anaheim card at UFC 298. “You can see the blood near the three hours [hand]. And on the back, it’s engraved ‘Original piece of Event-used canvas Feb. 18 2024, Anaheim, California… Ian ‘The Future’ Garry…limited edition,'” he shared.

Timex, the official timekeeper for the UFC, has a long-standing partnership with the promotion. Garry is the latest athlete to become a Timex ambassador, sporting their robust and iconic octagon-shaped dials. The 50mm UFC Rumble, 52mm Timex UFC Rush, and the 45mm Timex UFC King are some of the options available, ranging from $65 to $279. This is kinda funny considering that a slice of canvas alone costs  $150.

Pre-UFC 303, Garry partook in many promotional campaigns for Timex, with his favorite being the custom-cased 45mm UFC King. “Unique shape, a crispy beveled touch, and triple-chronograph functionality. Right around the lane is what the ‘Future’ would wear,” he said.

While Garry’s fight against Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303 did not attract much fan support, his stock will continue to rise. The Irishman, modeling himself to be the next “Disruptor” like his compatriot Conor McGregor, is not just all-fight and all-blabber. It’s these little bits of extravaganza that make him the ‘Future’ of the company.
