UFC’s Bryce Mitchell has a Biblical Explanation for why Aliens Don’t Exist

Jake Shields’ channel featured plenty of odd content but even by those standards, Bryce Mitchell stands out.

When asked about aliens, Bryce Mitchell answered not with sci fi speculation but with theology he has shared across platforms. He rejected extraterrestrials entirely and framed the topic through scripture.

When the discussion turned to aliens, he was direct and uncompromising and rooted his position in biblical interpretation.

“Aliens do not exist in the sense that NASA suppresses them. It is not possible. There’s only one thing created in the image of God. That’s human beings.”

His framework leaves no room for intelligent life beyond Earth because humanity holds a unique place in creation.

Mitchell went further than denial and offered an alternative explanation for reported encounters throughout history.

“People hype up aliens to be greater and smarter. If something comes down from the sky or from up under the water or appears to you in the form of what you would think is an alien, it is a demon.”

The reinterpretation reframes alleged sightings through a spiritual lens. This perspective exists in some Christian circles but hearing it stated so plainly by a professional athlete on a combat sports podcast created a surreal moment.

Mitchell also shared what he considers practical guidance for anyone facing such an encounter.

“How you test a demon or an angel is the name of Jesus. If an alien comes to you, any apparition comes to you and will not profess Jesus as Lord, it is not of God. That simple. And that’s from the scripture. That ain’t my word. That’s the word of God right there.”

He referenced biblical passages that instruct believers to test spirits and said this standard applies to any supernatural claim.

The topic arose after Shields asked Mitchell about his least controversial political opinion. Mitchell answered with his belief in Bigfoot and pointed to regional culture in Arkansas. He connected that belief back to scripture by suggesting the creature probably is related to nephilim and referenced figures described in Genesis.

Mitchell’s public image extends beyond his performances in competition. His openness about flat earth theories and government policies has made him one of the most polarizing figures in MMA outside the cage. He remains unapologetic and consistently frames his views within his faith.

One thing is clear. Bryce Mitchell is not worried about visitors from other planets. In his worldview, the universe is already explained and there is no room for little green men, only beings from other realms and no room for speculation.
